 The Hand-Crafting Process
These hand-crafted votive holders are produced using the ancient Italian method of clay
forming known as Millifiori which means "1000 flowers." Using
brilliantly colored fimo clay, skilled artisans create enlarged formats of the design.
The clay image is then compressed and stretched into thin wafers. These clay wafers
carrying the original design in reduced form are carefully hand-pressed onto the glass
holders and baked into a hard surface.
